Palpable and visible changes have been happened in the body of this beautiful zone and today, it can be said certainly that Aras Free Zone will be turned into one of the tourism attractions in the country in the very near future.
According to a report leased by the Public Relations and International Affairs Dept. of Aras Free Zone Organization, Hasan Ghadamgahi Senior Observer of the State Welfare Headquarters, in his visit from the activities of facilities of Aras Free Zone during New Iranian Year 1391 (started March 20, 2012), confessed dynamicity and basic changes of this zone in creating welfare of tourists.
After his visit from the plans and programs of Travel Welfare Headquarters of Aras Free Zone, he termed that bordering Aras Free Zone with three countries is one of the salient advantages for this zone and said: “Aras Free Zone has appropriate ascending growth both in economic and tourism terms and taking advantage of its regional benefits and its infrastructure will turn this zone into a new tourism and economic destination in the very near future.”
He added: “Bordering with the countries of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic has turned this zone into a center for exchanging cultures.”
Turning to this point that the facilities provided in Aras Free Zone have had remarkable growth in comparison with the previous years, Ghadamgahi said, adding: “Tourists refer to this beautiful zone vehemently and Aras Free Zone awaits bright and rosy future facing its tourism and economic industry.”
He also termed coordination and seriousness of functionaries of Aras Free Zone, cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts organization and senior officials of East Azarbaijan Province as prerequisite to control and utilize tourism industry of Aras Free Zone accurately.
While visiting Tribal Festival, tourism attractions and permanent and temporary residences, Senior Observer of Travel Welfare Headquarters termed implementation of various cultural programs to fill leisure time of tourists and especially young and adolescent strata as the best cultural programs of Aras Free Zone.
He evaluated cultural, economic and tourism activities carried out in Aras Free Zone as “excellent” and added: “Aras Fee Zone enjoys better situation among other free zones in the country and different cultural, tourism and economic advantages will turn this zone into a new tourism and economic hub in the very near future.”
