Exports to Armenia Resumed / Transit Corridor from Armenia to Iraqi Kurdish Territory Reopened
With issuing export permits to 250 trucks of Iranian goods, exports to Armenia have been picked up and the Armenian corridor to Iraq’s Kurdish Territory through Iranian territory has been reopened.

According to Public Relations and Intl. Affairs of Aras Free Zone Org. quoting from Exportena: Seyyed Ruhollah Latifi, the spokesperson for Iran’s Customs Administration said that since past days export goods have been transported to Armenia in a limited way after halting activity for some time at the Nurduz border with Armenia. “Fortunately, with the consent of Yerevan officials, good steps have been taken to normalize trade and export activities in recent days, and with the arrival of 250 trucks of exported goods to Armenia, trade activities have been on track”, he added.
On the importance of Armenia in the trade area, Latifi said Armenia has been the second destination for the Iranian export goods in the EAEU after Russia.
