Morteza Bank said on Sunday at the inauguration ceremony of the Aras Free Zone’s full Industrial Slaughter Complex, “During this period, $ 45 billion worth of goods have been imported through free and special economic zones into the country, in which considering exports and imports, high trade surplus through free zones have been retained and this is of great importance in the current harsh conditions.
“There are now 3000 workshops in the free zones that have been created in one thousand industrial units, of which 190 industrial and production units and 25 agricultural units are located in Aras Free Zones.” The Secretary of High Council of Free and Special Economic Zones announced.
"Free zones are an opportunity for the country and there is nothing called smuggling in these areas," Morteza Bank said.
“Most of the projects implemented here have been put into operation in less than a year.” The secretary boasted about the producers’ strive for the activity in the free zone.
