Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Aras Free Zone Organization announced the approval of the expansion of the Aras Free Zone as complementary to Aras Free Zone Organization's efforts to expand and participate in the global arena.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Aras Free Zone Organization; Mohsen Nariman, referring to the announcement of the approval of the increase of the Aras Free Zone by the First Vice President, said that with the development of the Aras area, our set of actions in Aras Free Zone Organization for development and presence is being completed more and more in the global arena.
He informed about the details of the expansion of the area. Based on the approval of the government, the area of Aras Free Zone increased to 71848 hectares.
This includes Jolfa-Hadishahr-Marand area of 40194 hectares, Siahrood-Eiri area of 332 hectares, Norduz area of 567 hectares, Khodafarin area of 5680 hectares and Gholi baglu area of 25075 hectares, Nariman added.
He pointed out that the Council of Ministers in their meeting according to proposal of the Secretariat of the High Council of Free Trade - Industrial and Special Economic Zones on the basis of Article One of the Law on Establishing Free Trade - Industrial Zones of Abadan and Khorramshahr, Jolfa and Bandar Anzali and Article One of the Aras Free Zone Development Law has decided to extend this range.
Appreciating all the factors involved in this action, including the effective and uninterrupted efforts of Mr. Hassan Nejad, the representative of the Marand and Jolfa people in the Islamic Consultative Assembly who had a key role in designing and approving the plan and development of the Aras Free Zone, The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aras Free Zone Organization said: “soon the necessary steps would be taken to make this resolution operational by the Aras Free Zone Organization”.
“ With the implementation of running the new areas of Aras Free Zone, we will see increased and diversified investments in all areas of Aras Free Zone”, Nariman emphasized
