“With the approval of the global network of Safe Community for Jolfa to join this network, the standardization and retrofitting project of busy urban and recreational areas is well under way in Aras”, Yousef Dadashzadeh, Tourism, Social and Cultural Deputy of Aras Free Zone said.
According to Aras Free Zone Public Relations and International Affairs, he added: The global network of Safe Communities in Sweden, which operates under the supervision of the World Health Organization, has agreed with membership of Jolfa to this global network.
He said the official agreement of Jolfa's membership in this organization came after numerous meetings with international evaluators and their confidence in willingness of Aras to simultaneously implement two major projects of Safe Community and Healthy City.
Dadashzadeh stated that one of the gaps of the Iranian tourism industry is the introduction of capabilities at an international level. He said one and a half years ago, after various studies in Tourism, Social and Cultural Department, we came to the conclusion that to introduce attractions and capabilities of Aras globally, we need to follow the implemented global patterns and implement the required standards.
“We started the project to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of joining the Safe global network and after meeting some of the hardware needs, international evaluators visited different parts of Jolfa and were convinced to membership of Aras Free Zone to this global network”. Tourism, Social and Cultural Deputy said.
Healthy City Project, 2020 Project of Aras safe community is one of the major projects of the Cultural, Social and Tourism Affairs of Aras Free Zone Organization, which can introduce Jolfa as a global city.
