Outlines of bill on establishment of free trade zone between Iran, Eurasian Union ratified

Representatives of theIslamic Republic of Iran at a public meeting on June 16, agreed with the 174 votes in favor, 4 opposite and 6 abstentions from 226 present members of Parliament to the outlines of a temporary agreement on establishing a free trade zone between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union.
Supporting the general principles of the bill, Ali Akbar Karimi, the MP of Arak, Markazi province, said that we are now practicing to interact with the global economy, and joining the union can pave the ground to join the World Trade Organization and enjoy its benefits.
He added: "This agreement will have economic benefits in addition to the positive effects of the agreement. The ratification of this agreement is the most important thing in the free zones of the Islamic Republic of Iran and, along with its special advantages; the law will help create jobs in the country and attract foreign investment in the north and south of the country.”
