76-million dollar transit of goods from Aras Free Zone Custom within the first three months of the year
The international transit from Aras Free Zone from March to May 2014 valued over 76 million dollars with a 145% growth compared to similar period last year.
During this period, almost 12 thousand tons of goods were transited from this area to foreign countries. Transited goods include electric appliances, oil, gas oil hydrocarbon, mechanical machinery, automobile, truck, trailer, truck spare parts, potato, walnut, almond, pistachio, plum, cast iron, and iron scrap, sheep and salted ship skin and cigarette.
These goods have been transited to Turkey, Sudan, Pakistan, Georgia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Armenia, Iraq, the Republic of Moldova, Uzbekistan, Germany, Russian Federation, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Afghanistan, and Kish Free Zone, Sahlan Free Zone, Imam Khomeini Port Special Zone, and other zones.
