43% Growth in the Exports of Aras Free Trade Zone Customs
The value of exports of Aras Free Trade Zone customs in the first eight months of the current year amounted to $105 million, showing a growth rate of 43%.
A comparison of the statistics concerning the first eight months of the current year with the same period in the last year also indicates a growth of 50% in terms of the weight of the exported goods, totaling to 120,000 tons.
Moreover, according to the recorded applications submitted for the export of goods, the target markets of the goods exported from Aras Free Trade Zone are Georgia, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, and some European countries.
It should be noted that the goods exported from Aras Free Trade Zone during the mentioned period consist of trailers and trucks, cotton, furniture, kitchen cabinet plates, playground equipment for children, plastic rolls and bags, copper bullion, zinc oxide, wooden pallets, metal bases, gasoline, diesel fuel, industrial oil, petroleum bitumen, polyethylene, plastic barrels, steel rods, kitchenware, home freezers, machine-made carpets, raisin, kurz, bed, farm tractors, and motorcycles.
