Majid Kayani, while explaining the benefits and legal facilities of Aras Free Zone, in a meeting with the head of the Iran Chamber of Cooperatives, said: Today, Aras is a hotbed of activity in the fields of trade, industry and tourism, and we are trying to ensure that development is carried out homogeneously in all fields. “Valuable measures have been taken in this regard, and most of these successes are due to the presence of investors and economic activists and the development of exports”, he added.

“In the planned policies, Aras Free Zone has been introduced as a logistics hub, and this requires the provision or completion of the infrastructure needed in this area, including road, rail and airport”, he said, therefore, we are following the reopening of the Nakhchivan road to Armenia, and by shortening the time and distance, this route can play the most important role in terms of efficiency and agility, connecting Jolfa to the Trans-Caspian port”.

Bahman Abdullahi, the head of the Iran Chamber of Cooperatives, also said in this meeting: Considering the capacities and facilities that exist in the Aras Free Zone, we will try to facilitate the presence and acquaintance of Russian companies in Aras Free Zone. Russians will welcome investment and cooperation with Aras.

While announcing his readiness to cooperate with the Aras Free Zone Organization and its economic activists, the head of the Iran Cooperation Chamber emphasized: During the meetings we will have with the export and agriculture commissions, we will invite a number of Aras production units to attend the meeting and promote their products.
