Pursuing Permits for Border Crossings of Aras Semi-trucks
In a meeting with the Consul General of Iran in Qapan, Armenia, referring to the logistics plans of this organization, Ali Navid said: One of our goals is to develop the Aras Logistics Hub in different zones, and in this regard, the 8-hectare Norduz warehouse and loading dock near the Armenian border will be operated within coming months, Aras FZ Public Relations & Intl. “The North-South corridor and the existing transit route are still attractive for businessmen and international transport companies, and we are trying to modernize the fleet by obtaining licenses for 5-year-old semi-trucks, so that Aras cargo can be transferred outside the borders of Iran”, he said.
The Deputy for Economic and Investment affairs of Aras Free Zone Organization stated that the presence of Russian businessmen in Armenia to provide their food needs is an opportunity to increase Aras exports through the Norduz border, and clarified: Completing the food value chain in the region is pursued seriously and with a balanced development approach, great works in the field of agriculture and greenhouse are being done.
It should be mentioned that in this meeting, the capacities of Aras and Norduz Zone were presented to the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Qapan, and Morteza Abedin Varamin announced his readiness to follow the demands of Aras in the direction of business development.
