The meeting of the CEO of Aras Free Zone Organization and the head of the joint chamber of Iran and Armenia was held.

According to the public relations and international affairs of the Aras Free Zone Organization, Majid Kiyani, in a meeting with the head of the joint chamber of Iran and Armenia, introduced the infrastructural and logistical capacities of Aras, especially in the area of the Nordoz border, from a commercial point of view and stated: In the approvals of the 17th Joint Commission of Iran and Armenia, very important issues have been raised, but few of the above issues have been implemented, and an operational plan must be developed to realize them.

“The Iranian Embassy in Armenia and the Joint Chamber of Commerce can play a significant role in the development and expansion of economic relations and technology transfer between the two countries.” he added.

Yarijanian, the head of the joint chamber of Iran and Armenia, also reminded in this meeting: the non-implementation of the issues discussed in the joint commission stems from the lack of follow-up by the parties in the previous periods.

He added: With the establishment of the Meghry joint free zone, we can benefit from the sale of raw materials needed by Armenian factories and the supply of raw materials.

Investment of members of the Chamber of Commerce in various sectors of transportation and insurance, truck production, and establishment of a company in Armenia with the aim of air transit and facilitating the export of Aras' products to Russia were also discussed in this meeting.
