According to the public relations and international affairs of the Aras Free Zone Organization, Majid Kiyani, in a meeting with the economic and trade delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan, which was hosted by the Governorate of East Azarbaijan, stated that one of the advantages of the Aras Free Zone is in the transit sector, and for trade exchange between Iran, the Caucasus and Eurasia, the capacity of Aras can be fully utilized.

Using the opportunities of Aras for investment, inviting the president of Tatarstan to visit the region and cooperation in the field of joint car production and knowledge-based companies were among the other things that were proposed by the chairman of the board of directors and CEO of Aras Free Zone Organization in this meeting.

Oleg Karobchenko, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, while conveying the greetings of the President of Tatarstan, considered the development of transportation as one of the most important goals and programs of the Economic Council of Tatarstan and reminded: East Azerbaijan, despite being a neighbor to several countries and benefiting from the free zone, is one of the good capacities in this field.
