Joint Economic Commission between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan in Baku to Be Held / Opening of Khodaafarin Border Reviewed
The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Iran announced the holding of a joint economic commission of the two countries on March 10 and 11 in Baku and said: "The opening of the Khodaafarin border and the construction of a new border bridge will be on the agenda."

Ali Alizadeh, in a meeting with the governor of East Azerbaijan, expressed his satisfaction with his return to Tabriz and said: "Considering my 6 years stay in Tabriz as the Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I am fully acquainted with this city and consider Tabriz as my homeland."
Praising the policy of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to expand relations with its neighbors Mr. Alizadeh said: "Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has a special emphasis on the development of relations with Iran and is personally following this issue seriously."
He also pointed out to the liberation of 130 km of the joint border between Iran and Azerbaijan and said: "New capacities have been created from the development of cooperation between the two countries and we must make good use of these capacities by reviving and activating border communications."
Alizadeh also announced the reducing the Covid-19 restrictions and visa facilitation by the Azerbaijani government and said: "With the improvement of conditions, the possibility of establishing a direct flight line between Tabriz and Baku will happen in a short time, and this issue both economically and facilitating traffic will be beneficial for both parties”.
