At the inauguration ceremony of 50 national projects in the free zones, the president dubbed the tripling of investment in Aras Free Zone a backlash against the US economic war on Iran.

"Fortunately, despite the economic war and the Covid, we are witnessing an increase in investment in free zones with the efforts and activities of the private sector." President Rouhani said, “Most people have high hopes for the future of the country’s economy and production.

Referring to the inauguration of important infrastructure and economic projects in the Aras Free Zone, the President said: "Soon, with the lifting of sanctions, I am confident that the relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the Republic of Azerbaijan will expand further."

Eight thousand and 15 billion Tomans has been spent for the implementation of 50 projects in the free and special economic zones of the country, which were officially put into operation today, and 62 thousand and 50 billion Tomans has been considered for the implementation of 52 projects whose construction will officially begin today.
