Mohsen Sheikhlou stated that today Aras holds the biggest and most modern glass greenhouse operated by the hydroponic system in Iran and western Asia. At present, due to the efforts of the greenhouse complexes in Aras, glass greenhouse technology has been localized so that it can compete with the Spanish technology.
He also pointed out the 70-unit aquaculture town project and said: one of the most significant projects in AFZ is the 70-unit trout raising projects to be constructed on the banks of the Aras River, with which completion and operation, it is expected that 2000 tons will be added to the county and province capacity. This aquaculture town in the Aras Free Zone is being established and will soon come into operation.
