According to Public Relations & Intl. Affairs of AFZ Org., reported by Mr. Mousavian, at the meeting of Armenian desk with reviewing the venues for raising the trade transactions on agenda attended by the Iranian ambassador, AFZ’s representatives, deputy for the exports market promotion, and other organs and ministries in Tehran, Behrooz Olfat the director-general gave a report on the status quo and mentioned the launch of the passenger and truck XRAY at the Nurduz border terminal, “it is hoped that with launching the needed equipment, undue delay in exports will be prevented and we will see a reduction in smuggling goods at the Nurduz border.
Based on the reports submitted, exports to Armenia in 2020 were more than $330 m, out of which fuel and petroleum products accounted for 29% and cement and clinker took a share of 20% of the exports.
Reportedly, Armenia has put embargoes on Turkish goods so this country is about to import 2250 items of commodities from Iran instead.
